1. JoePa doesn't text because he doesn't own a computer.
Yep, he's in touch with those kids he "coaches." He's basically a bobblehead.2. McCain is aware of the Internet.
Yes this is old "news," but it's another example of an old dude being out of touch with reality. See number one above. If he wins, he'll have influence on Web-related legislation. It's a good thing he's an expert on all things Internet.3. Obama is a man of the world.
Senator Obama lacks foreign policy experience, which is a major concern. It's something McCain is pointing out. But (and I'm playing devil's advocate here), do his philosophies make up for that? The 200,000 Germans who showed up to hear him speak might make that point.4. Old man strength is dizzying phenomenon.
Wow. A 20-year-old dude can't take an 88-year-old dude?5. The Last Lecturer is gone, but not forgotten.
Randy Pausch died last week. As an Internet-based star, his Internet sending off is interesting.
Pausch was reveled by so many because of his insightful outlook on humanity. The common thread throughout all this? Experience is important (see 4), but not to the point that it supersedes common sense (see 1, 2). Some folks meld both well (see 3(maybe), 5).
Favorite Sophomoric Activity of the Day: Duping the news media. There was a Howard Stern reference in an earthquake-related report yesterday. It made me chuckle.
